Meet Masha and Sasha

My dad found these adorable cats at work and has been feeding them. I named them Masha and Sasha (they’re both females). Aren’t they adorable?

Haikus!

Today, the Blogathon theme is haikus, so today’s post will be very short.

soft fur, loud meow
piercing blue eyes, and gray tail
a Tonkinese cat

That is in honor of my cat.

flowers blooming on the hill
sun in the blue sky

That was inspired by a trip I took to California six years ago.

(For the record, I haven’t written haikus, much less published them in public, for years and years, so this is a bit embarrassing…)

There once was a green bird named Penny. She lived happily with a blue and white bird named Henry.

In April 2011, tragedy struck. The little green bird became terminally ill and died before the month was over, a few days before her fifth birthday.

It’s been three months since we lost Penny and sometimes, I still cannot believe she is gone. Вечная память.

In memory of a special someone who is no longer here.
